Sugar free apple tart

Ingredients (serves 6)

Method

Base

  • Pre-heat the oven to 180°C
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the almond flour and 30g of stevia
  • Melt 50 g of butter on low heat in a small boiling pan (you can also use a microwave), then add it to the bowl
  • Mix until evenly combined
  • Form a layer in a baking tin, and press down using a glass
  • Bake for 5 minutes, then sit to cool down

Tart

  • Squeeze the juice of the lemon in a bowl
  • Peel and cut the apples very thinly. Add them to the bowl as you cut them (this will prevent them from turning brown)
  • Lay the apples evenly across the tin (don’t hesitate to get creative and create a nice pattern)
  • Melt the butter in a pan (or the microwave), then pour on top of the tart
  • Bake for 30 minutes
  • Remove from the oven, and press the apples gently (you can use a glass)
  • Drizzle the rest of the stevia and the ground nutmeg on top of the tart, then put back in the oven for 20 minutes
  • Take out of the oven
